About Me
I am an enthusiastic, outgoing, and positive person with an eagerness to learn and
embrace new challenges. I have had a passion for computers and technology for as long
as I can remember - since learning the basics of Java when I was 13, I have been
captivated by the sense of creative freedom and the opportunity for critical thinking
that Development and Coding provides. This has driven me to not only pursue a career in
this field but also to teach myself various essential languages, expanding my
understanding and knowledge.
While coding is my true passion, I am far from a typical Computer Science student. I am
also an avid rugby player, having represented my country with Ireland U19 and
currently playing for both my university at Division 1 level and the New York Major
League Rugby Academy. My experience in rugby has taught me invaluable lessons in
teamwork, perseverance, and leadership, all of which I bring to the table when working
with others on coding projects.
Projects
LiftSync - Workout Tracker
Developed with Frederich De Koker as part of an independent study, this app allows users to track their workouts, manage routines, and sync progress using Firebase. Originally built in React Native and redesigned in Swift with enhanced unit tracking, custom profiles, and workout logging features.
Healthcare Scheduler System
Built with a real-world client in a team project for our Software Engineering class, this distributed healthcare scheduling system automates patient communication and appointment booking using LLMs, Twilio, and a suite of microservices managed through Docker.
Bouncing Ball
A creative browser-based game where players use their phone's gyroscope to control a paddle on a separate display. The goal is to keep the ball bouncing and avoid letting it fall. Built entirely in JavaScript, with mobile syncing via QR code.
Task-Sync - Calendar App
A React Native iOS calendar and task management app built with Firebase as the backend. Designed for smooth scheduling, syncing, and mobile-first UX, this app is ready for App Store deployment and was developed as a solo project.
